Update on Uncle Sammy
Thanks so much guys, for your prayers and your kind thoughts. I just got an update from my mom. Sam was in surgery for 6 hours, the doctor said that his weight had an effect on both the surgery and the anesthesia, which slowed the process. Unfortunately, there was a huge mass, the cancer was both on and around his colon, so they had to remove his entire colon. He will also have to undergo radiation. He's definitely not out of the woods yet. Please keep him and the family in your prayers. I sure do appreciate y'all.

wow - i just read this and your last post. i'm thinking of your family & praying for them.
removing an entire colon - that doesn't sound pleasant to me. how is he supposed to go to the bathroom?
He now has to wear a colostomy bag. It's so sad, really.
Thanks for sharing.... we are praying.... What a tough thing to go through!
