Welcome to Texas
I have lived in Texas all of my life and I still CANNOT get used to the weather.
Yesterday's high - 104 degrees. Then around 6pm a thunderstorm hit, breaking branches on our trees and hailing on our house. No serious damage, thankfully.
Today's high - 74 degrees.
Welcome to Texas.

Well at least it's REASONABLE today. :-)
At least you HAVE 74. I stepped out of my house today and almost turned into a human ice cube. 40 degrees. Blech!
I prefer the heat any given day. If I liked the cold, I woulda stayed in the mountains. come on summertime.
Steph - 40 degrees?!?! 40!!! Yipes. And I thought I was going to freeze this morning when it was 54. I had no idea it was so cold outside, and I'm wearing capris, sandals, and a short sleeve shirt. (no comments, it WAS 104 yesterday).
Miss - where's a hot house when you need it? I keep meaning to thank you a 1000 times over for the clothes. K felt terrible that she hadn't thanked you the other day - she took all the size 8 skirts/pants. (grrr) Between the two of us, there was only 1 camiseta we couldn't wear, and that's b/c it was a yellow that would make both of us look violently ill. So yes, the capris I'm wearing today are the olive green ones, thanks to you.
li love a good ol' texas thunderstorm. not hurricane, mind you. thunderstorm.

AM, it does look like I copied you! And I am soo with you on the Chick Fil A, the problem is that I have to get 2-3 boxes of those chicken mini's because they are so dang good and so I only allow myself that indulgence about once a month. I have got to start eating yogurt or something better for breakfast. Yogurt and Oatmeal, I think I am getting old.
nzetppa - n zet papa - an italian potato dish please say with an accent and hand motions.
Amstaff-
LOVE the new look!
And yes, 40 stinkin' degrees. Anyone have a parka they're willing to part with? I've been sitting at my desk with my space heater going - all day today! This is ridiculous!
Steph - Actually the new look is not on purpose. My site has been down this afternoon, and Eddo changed the template to get it to come up. He's still getting the bugs worked out to get the old one back up and running.
I felt so lost when it was just a blank page!
After lunch, my boss and I went to an outdoor shopping mall. The weather was PERFECT. And we got Starbucks. I felt like I was another town. So very nice.
Well, it could have been worse. Ash was over at her parent's house visiting her dad. A tornado went over the house as the cold front rolled through. No major damage, but a few windows were broken and some trees are down.
I about burst into song when I walked outside this morning and that cold wind hit me. Woo-hoo!!!
gwdddpln: Great winds damaged dad's daisies. Plants linger not.
Oh yes, Texas weather is forever changing. I am so ready for it to cool off and stay that way, but no chance of that happening, it should be back in the ninties this coming week.
Up in NYC, it's about 55 and windy. Brrr - it's too soon to pull out winter coats, and no one wants to admit it's really getting cold, so we all keep to summer mindets and shiver. I debated a sweater today, but I'm in a tee, and I'm cold!
