Fabulous (fattening) Free Day

Today has been a fabulous free day for me. FUN!

1. Co-worker brings me the aforementioned fabulous Latte from Starbucks.
2. Co-worker wins free lunch bunch off radio station last week and treats me and co-workers to a free lunch at El Fenix where we can eat anything we want off the menu.
3. I decide that the fajita quesadillas weren't enough of a treat and stop by Chick-fil-a for an Ice Dream on the way back from my interview. The drive-thru has a miserably long line and so I go inside to order. The lady in front of me says that she doesn't need the free ice cream coupon she has because she's on a diet and so she gives it to me. Not even knowing that it was exactly what I was going to order. So I get my Ice Dream for free.

So the only food that's cost me money today is my protein shake and vitamins for breakfast. It's cheaper to be fat I guess!

I'm glad you had a good day! Interviews are always so nerve racking, so at least you had yummy (free) coffee, lunch and ice cream to make up for it.

So, uh, switching topics - it looks like the TOO COLD TO HOLD will actually be...uh...cold (like I'm surprised). Why a cold front the day before the race? Why? Because that's a little unnecessary! BOO!

I would never have thought it was cheaper to be fat, but the healthy stuff is always overpriced, so I guess it makes sense. The Dollar menu is fattening; the Slimfast stuff is expensive. What is the world coming to?

I second Deals - it's always good to have ice cream when you have an interview. Just look in the mirror before you go into the office :)

:-) What a great day!

We don't have Chick-fil-a here, but I have had their breakfast biscuits once when we were in Atlanta. Yummers.

Fattening food is cheaper, easier and oh so tasty. I try really, really hard to tell myself that carrots taste better than ice cream. It just doesn't work though!!

Hope the results of your interview are good!!

Very True post! The hubby and I were just talking about how large our grocery bill has gotten - it's from all of the healthy food we've converted to. Ridiculous, but I guess your health is a good investment!

Steph - glad you got a chuckle out of it.

Deals- I know! But I'll be sweatin' like a pig, so it will probably be good that it's cool. Unless my lungs begin to freeze, and then I'm in trouble.

Lia, Amelia, Shenna - I'm all about investing in my health now instead of later, so we spend quite a chunk of change on organic food, supplements, etc. But it is pricy. I guess the good things in life take effort, but pay off in the long run. Wish it was the other way around.

Jayleigh - I think you told me once before that they don't have Chick-fil-a's near you. What a cryin' shame!!

Eddo - He he, I quote that sometimes too. kay-sa-dil-a.

i just read something about taxing fast food to help with obesity, made me think of you, not the obesity part (NOT AT ALL) but the taxing fast food part
