Dallas Flower Power

My parents have family passes to the Dallas Arboretum, and unfortunately, I've only been twice in the last year. My momma and I went on Friday and it was a sight to behold. It's time for Dallas Blooms, and so my FAVORITE flowers (Tulips) were in full bloom. If you are anywhere close to the Dallas area, I highly recommend you go! So without further adieu, here are some of the views. I say some, because I took over 100+ photos. The day was PERFECT by the way.

Don't the pansy's look like they have little faces?

Those are gorgeous!!

There is a tulip farm down in Woodburn and everyone heads down there around Easter to take it all in and do family pics.

Looks like you had a great time.

just seeing the photos makes me want to run from the building, jump in my car, pick up a good book, my iPod, sunglasses, and of course non-work attire and spend ALL DAY at the arboretum. ALL DAY.

Oh my goodness, rr and I love Dallas Blooms! Yet another thing we have in common. We went week before last. I absolutely love the concert lawn overlooking the lake. I could sit there forever. The tulips were awfully nice, too. :)

Ben McMinn - Texas CAN be beautiful!!

Amelia - Thanks! You always take great pics, so coming from you, I appreciate the kudos!

Heather - Thanks!

K-T - You need to go!

Tiffany - I agree! And I owe you an email, btw. Will send ASAP.

JLR - I can't believe we didn't meet before the blog world, but either way, I'm glad we did b/c we have so much in common. Did Deals talk to you about a date?

Eddo - Thanks (again)! Brian is great, Abs is great. We need to get together sometime!

JLR: You did not sit there forever! I have it on good authority that there were a million little kiddos there that day. I seem to recall a certain train-related event last spring, and you turning to RR and saying, "Oh, no. I think that music is coming from the train. Let's get out of here before that conductor starts to sing to those kids!"

AM: I told RR about it and she was supposed to pass it on to JLR. The calendar seemed to be clear except in the morning of one of the dates that we discussed (but, of course, RR had to run it by JLR first to make sure they didn't have other plans that she had forgotten about). Kidnapping them might be the only option...

Deals - I read your post, and I was thinking "what"? I was there around 2pm, so there weren't alot of kids, and I couldn't remember anything about a train. And then I realized that my initials USED to be JLR and that you were talking about THAT JLR and not me. Man, I need some caffeine. I understand now!!!

Steph - thanks!

Deals: I believe I said that I *could* sit there forever. I *could* sit there forever if there were not a million little children running and screaming and climbing things. I think it's great to see kids getting some fresh air and enjoying nature (although the kid attacking the tulips didn't seem to fond of it), but it does tend to distract from any potential lake-inspired reverie.

AM: what? No one has spoken to me of this date thing.
