Why I love New York

Lady Liberty

Their Home Depots have glass ceilings.

Theiir churches have beautiful stained glass windows.

They have fabulous restaurants with fun pictures. This same restaurant is located all over London. And it's just as good.

Two words: Central Park.

Whee!

Pretty pics! I set one of them as my background. :)

(Trees arching over path - is that in Central Park?)

Jes,

Yes, that's called The Mall. Last year, same weekend, the trees were all bare. This year they were still lovely. They're all Elms. So serene.

Glad you enjoyed the pics!

Such pretty pics. Ohhhhh I just realized that Jes and I are sharing a brain because as I was looking through them I thought "oh I want to steal this tree arch pic and make it my background" and then I though "gosh, jcol is such a good photog" and then I thought "I wonder if her little girl will inherit that and if she'll be a traveler like her mommy" and then I smiled

Technically, you know, Lady Liberty belongs to NJ. But we still love her.

Great pictures - you look gorgeous in that last one.

Thanks Katie!

Steal away. I hope my little girl will enjoy photos and travels. She's already had her first trip to NYC. First of many I hope. There's talks of us going back to Europe next summer. She'll be about 3 mos old then. Better get an early start.

Thanks Lia! Sorry about the technicality. No offense to Lady Liberty either. Supposedly she was my grandmother's first view of the U.S. when she came to America. I have a fondness for her.
